HUMMELLS WHARF — Layoffs have been announced at a meat supplier in Snyder County.
National Beef says 150 workers at its Hummels Wharf location will lose their jobs in April.
The facility supplies case-ready beef to businesses.
National Beef says the layoffs, effective April 13, 2013, are the result of the company losing Walmart as a key customer.
A release from the company says there are no plans to close the facility in Snyder County.
